Duck breasts with a balsamic vinegar and honey glaze
Do you like Italian cuisine, but are you tired of pasta and pizza? Try this Italian recipe, which many a housewife prepares for Sunday lunch. Duck breasts drizzled with balsamic vinegar and honey sauce will please many a gourmet!
For 2 people you will need:
- 2 duck breasts
- 130g onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 50g balsamic vinegar
- 40g Medokomerc meadow honey
- 150 ml water or vegetable broth
- 3 sprigs of rosemary
- 4 sprigs of thyme
- lamb's lettuce
Instructions:
First, remove any forgotten feathers from the duck breasts with tweezers, remove excess fat with a knife, and cut the breasts diagonally. Season with salt and pepper on both sides. Place the breasts on a hot pan on one side and sear for 3-4 minutes. Then turn the breasts over and sear on the other side as well. Once the meat is seared on both sides, add the onion cut into wedges and unpeeled garlic. Add rosemary and thyme and pour in the balsamic vinegar. Let it evaporate partially and add water or vegetable broth. Let the breasts cook for about 10 minutes (they must be pink inside) and then remove them from the marinade.
