Homemade honey-nut cereal bars
Recipe for healthy snacking
The specific taste of nuts combines perfectly with the sweetness of honey, which is why we have a simple guide for you on how to combine honey with nuts and make your own simple granola bars. Thanks to homemade production, you can be sure that there are only healthy things in them. In addition to honey and walnuts (or any other) nuts, you will only need flakes, dried fruit and salt.
Ingredients:
- 100 g of liquid Medokomerc honey
- 180 g of nuts and seeds
- 180 g of oatmeal
- 180 g of dried fruit
- 30 g of plain flour
- A little salt
Process:

If you don't have very juicy dried fruit such as apricots or plums, it is better to soak them in water in advance (even overnight), because they could dry out and become bitter when baking in the oven. However, take it out before cooking and, if possible, dry it with a paper towel.

It is good to roast the flakes and nuts a little in advance on a baking sheet in the oven at 180 °C or in a pan, you can either add a little butter or dry them completely. But don't bake them together (the flakes will bake faster) and be careful not to burn them and make them bitter!

Then chop the walnuts into smaller pieces and mix with the flakes, a little flour and salt.

Pour the liquid honey over the whole mixture. If necessary, heat it in a hot bath to a maximum of 60 °C, but then wait for it to cool down a little, because it is ideal to mix the result by hand.

Now it is necessary to firmly press the honey-flake-nut dough into a smaller baking pan lined with baking paper, and then bake in a still preheated oven for approx. 25 minutes.

After removing from the oven, let cool, and only then cut into individual bars or cubes on a cutting board. Enjoy your meal.
